Here are our top news stories from last month – we want to ensure you ‘Know the News’. Providing you with the news so you don’t get the blues.

Periscope and Meerkat were both hot topics in the news last month:

We checked out Meerkat as it was announced as a new live streaming video app and so was Periscope however Periscope was mostly being used to film people’s fridges.

We watched Apple Live and shared all the top news including the release of the new Apple Mac and the long awaited and anticipated, Apple Watch – if you’d like to know more click here!

Apple Watch


We live-tweeted all the top news from the Facebook F8 Conference last month. They discussed what ‘Virtual reality technology is now available’, their plans to deliver internet to those currently out of range, and Facebook Messenger changes, plus much more.

Outside of the conference Facebook also suggested their interest in hosting news content on Facebook timelines.

And if all that wasn’t enough, Mark Zuckerburg has also made a stand and has said that Facebook ‘users’ should no longer be referred to as users – find out more!

Twitter announced changes:

They would be soon testing their new abuse-block filter with verified users and they also made video’s play automatically on the mobile app and thirdly tweets will also now be appearing in Google search results.


Chairman Eric Schmidt is still confident wearable tech could be in the future for Google, and Google also dropped some heavy hints regarding changes in mobile algorithms.



Amazon received approval to test delivery drones – this could drastically change the way we receive products we purchase online so we will be keeping an eye on Amazon’s progress in the coming months.

The Year of Code:

BBC called 2015 The Year of code for children, as schools around the country our now encouraging kids to learn code. While .com domain celebrated its 30th birthday.

Plans to ditch Internet Explorer were released to be replaced by a new, faster web browser. Talking of browsers, there’s a new one, Vivaldi – Check it out!
