Exciting news in the world of eCommerce, as Amazon have revealed that they are teaming up with Twitter; enabling their users to add products to their basket using special hashtags on Twitter – automatically adding in the product you want to your Amazon basket!
You obviously still have to checkout and pay on Amazon, but this move really shows the importance of social media today, and how brands are extending their reach to attract customers over these social networks. This move is helping to eliminate the need to switch from app to app, saving time and improving convenience.
This comes just after Twitter reported a net loss of £78m for the first quarter this week. It is thought that this new connection with eCommerce websites will attract more advertisers, and boost engagement rates on Twitter.
