Sponsorship
Here at GML we see the importance of supporting our community.
Therefore we are proud sponsors of the Norwich Youth Bowling Club, and have provided them with a website to publish all their fixtures and results. www.norwichybc.co.uk Their team also proudly wear their new shirts that we have bought for them.
Norwich Youth Bowling Club is a ten pin bowling club for children aged 4 to 18 with the emphasis on HAVING FUN while learning to bowl. They provide a safe environment for young people to participate in this fantastic sociable sport.
At the recent National Championships they won several medals:-
TEAM Event (5 bowlers): Silver
PeeWee Girls Doubles: Silver (U8s)
Bantam Boys Overall (Total in Nine games) Bronze
Senior Boys Singles: Silver
2 of their bowlers won medals bowling for ENGLAND in the European Championships
2 of their bowlers have been reselected for England & they have 5 male bowlers in the top 20 in the country
We attended their awards evening on Saturday 14th August 2010. There were so many awards, we felt very proud of them and were happy to hand out the trophies. We are looking forward to their pictures of the evening to put on the site here.
Charity Donations
We were pleased to donate £400 to the Bryan Gunn Appeal for Leukaemia, after meeting Bryan at a Charity Auction at The 12 Lost Churches in Dunwich.
